Polity is the English language left magazine published by SSA since 2003. It has been online since 2022 to expand its reach and stimulate wider and more diverse interaction with its content and concerns. The magazine aims to advance democratic consciousness, gender equality, state reform, and social justice in Sri Lanka, while interested in South Asia and the World. Polity welcomes scholarly essays based on research, long-form books, drama, and film reviews, analytical commentaries on contemporary issues, think pieces, works-in-progress, interviews, field notes, photo-essays, and creative writing and illustrations including short stories, poems, and graphic art. Polity currently has two issues in June and December and is edited by Chulani Kodikara, Hasini Lecamwasam, and Balasingham Skanthakumar.
