The Democracy and Development Forum is a global initiative led by Central European University Democracy Institute (CEU DI) in collaboration with the Social Scientists’ Association (SSA). This three-year project fosters cross-regional dialogue on democracy by connecting scholars from the Global South and North. It aims to rethink democracy beyond Euro-American perspectives, combining multidisciplinary research, education, and public engagement to explore the complex relationships between democracy, development, and social change. Through innovative teaching methods, international research networks, and dynamic outreach activities, the project brings together diverse voices to address policy-relevant challenges related to democracy and development.
