Second Dialogue Session on Democracy, Citizenship and Justice
The SSA organized its second dialogue session with the participation of 30 Sinhala medium students from the Faculty of Arts, of the Open University of Sri Lanka on the 30th of September and 1st of October. This is the second in a series of five dialogue sessions that aim to promote critical discussion on concepts such as Democracy, Citizenship and Justice among university students in Sri Lanka. .
The resource panel for this dialogue session included Dr. Nirmal Ranjith Dewasiri, Mr. Mahesh Senanayake, Dr. Kalana Senaratne, Dr. Pradeep Peiris, Andi Schubert and Hasini Lecamwasam. The forthcoming dialogue sessions will involve Tamil medium Arts Faculty students, university students from faculties other than the Arts faculty, as well as a more in-depth session with junior academics in the University system.
