This annotated bibliography covers academic writings on the debates surrounding Sri Lanka’s many initiatives for state reform. Annotations under each entry provide bibliographical information as well as a summary of the analysis, along with a brief assessment of the significance of the publication.
While the internet and social media have made it easier to access information on the trajectories of state reform in Sri Lanka at the click of a button, a large and significant body of work that exists offline may often be overlooked or ignored. This volume contributes to addressing this deficiency by compiling, commenting on and contextualizing the significant interventions made by scholars into the debates on state reform in Sri Lanka over the years. As such, this annotated bibliography is an extremely important resource for researchers, students and scholars who wish to critically engage with the trajectory of state reform debates in Sri Lanka today.
