Towards Democratic Reforms: The 1st Pravada Editorial (November 1991)

Polity Volume 7, Issue 1, pp.4-5 (Download PDF)

Since its inception in 1991, Pravada as it was then known, has been a clear voice of faith and belief in the need for a more democratic and accountable form of government in the country. To celebrate this vision and contribute to the discussions on the formulation of a new constitution for the country, we have chosen to re-publish the first editorial of Pravada which is eerily relevant to the conversations taking place around governance today. It demonstrates the initial spirit of critical reflection coupled with unshaking, principled belief in the value of democratization that has become characteristic of Polity over the years.
