Mr. Andi Schubert

Mr. Andi Schubert obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in English from the University of Kelaniya in 2009. In 2010 he founded the Young Researchers’ Collective to promote the work of young researchers. He has also been an English lecturer at the University of Kelaniya. His research interests are interdisciplinary and deeply rooted in cultural studies and critical discourse analysis. They include identity, memory, war, peace and reconciliation and the growth of the internet as a cultural space. His current research work focuses on the dynamics of post-war reconciliation in Sri Lanka and how they are made visible through the census, through speeches and on YouTube.
